Your LinkedIn headline is a search result, not a job title
Recruiters find you by keyword. 'Vice President at XYZ Bank' is nearly unfindable.
Most sourcing in financial services starts with a LinkedIn Recruiter search: role keywords, sector terms, city, seniority. Your headline is the heaviest-weighted field in that search. "Vice President at XYZ Bank" tells the algorithm almost nothing, because a bank has five thousand vice presidents.
The formula that gets found
Function, domain, scope, market: "Credit Risk | SME & Mid-Corporate Lending | ₹2,000 cr approval authority | Mumbai." Every element is a search term a recruiter actually types. The pipe separators are not elegant; they are legible to both the algorithm and the human scanning forty results.
The About section
Three short paragraphs: what you do and at what scale, the two or three outcomes you are proudest of with numbers, and what you want next. Write in first person. Skip the origin story; nobody sources on biography.
